If the standards of sportsmanship were followed by everyone the necessity of fish, forestry and game laws would not be required. The laws regulating the human affairs would also not be required.

This game is considered to represent a true sportsman who loves to stay outdoors and respects others welfare and also considers all living things and growing things. He also observes and follows the rules of fair play. A true sportsman serves as an example for the youths to follow.

Actually the fishing game varies a lot when compared to all other kinds of games which we know. There are a lot of games we play but still in reality this game is not an activity but the passion and interest for fishing. It shows their love and interest in experiencing the art of fishing.

In this game the angler is not interested in hunting or fishing just for the sake of boasting over his slaughter or any materialistic gain. He starts loving the flash of the trout like the lightening, the pull on the line, the whirring sound of the reel, the thrilling battle between the fish and the net, the leap of the bass or muskie and finally the interesting companions who are true sportsmen.

The theory of fishing sport

The fishing game which is most commonly known is the "Offshore Fishing Game". Generally this kind of fishing is carried out in the sea. The targets for the anglers are larger fishes like the tunas and marlins.

Offshore fishing game is performed as an activity mainly for entertainment. It is a means of recreation. There are situations during which the fishing game is played as a competition. This is referred to as sports fishing.

The utilization of energy is very high for this entertaining activity hence larger boats are being used. Larger boats are required mainly for offshore fishing game. The size of the boats is usually thirty to fifty feet long.

The main aim is to spool the fish in as soon as it is hooked properly on the line. It is an intimidating task because the bigger fish can easily yank away from the boat. This is quite challenging too. Simultaneously the fish has to be reeled and the tension has to be maintained in the fishing line.

For a true angler it is not a competition but a relaxation. The angler is in the open space breathing the clean air enjoying and pondering in the wilds of nature's playground. The fishing game also provides an opportunity to muse in solitude.

To conclude with the fishing games it is essential to point out that the anglers play the game following the rules and laws. They really play a fair game. The anglers are also concerned about conserving the importance of fishes in the community.
