If your reading this article then you must be looking for a quick and easy way to get traffic to your home based business website. Well first let me tell you that quick and easy don't always go together, but I can give you some tips that will generate steady traffic to your site.

If done correctly these three tips are free, easy and will generate an enormous amount of targeted traffic to your website.

Forums

The first strategy is to join forums that interest you and pertain to your niche. Many forums will allow you to place a link to your website in your signature. Make sure you read the rules however before doing this; this is the quickest way to be tagged as a spammer and band from the forum.

You don't want to join just any forum. Make sure it's forums that interest you and you can add value to with your posts. Being a genuine participate in the discussion will earn you respect and credibility. Once you have that honor you can begin advertising your product outside of the signature.

If you stay within forums that pertain to your niche this is a very good place to meet other link minded people and future customers or JV Partners.

Article writing

The second strategy is article writing. You don't have to have a journalism degree to write an article. Most of the articles you read everyday are written by people just like yourself, sharing their knowledge and experience in their home based business.

If you keep is short, and it's written from your heart, people will naturally gravitate to you and want to know about you and your business. Well written articles will generate traffic and interest in your product or service.

There are many article directories for free or low cost where you can post your work. Most sites want your word count to be between 250 and 700 words. Read the rules, you are limited to a certain amount of self serving links back to your sites.

Blogging

This is the third strategy I would like to offer, and one of my favorites. This is an easy way establish your knowledge and authority in your niche. As you advertise in the above area's you can point them back to your blog where they will get to know you and your online business knowledge and experience.

You can setup your own blog easily with free software from Wordpress or Blogger, a domain name and a hosting site. Having your own blog allows you to share and advertise your products and services more freely however should not be blatant. If your blog offers nothing to your prospects other than in your face advertising they will not come back.

These are just a few of the free, quick and easy ways to generate traffic to your website. Follow the rules and give to your prospect and you will begin to see your traffic increase exponentially.
