I know that almost sounds like a dumb question doesn't it? We all know that without leads coming to our website we would not have a home based business.

However the question everyone asks is how to generate leads to your website. We want that traffic to stop on our website not just pass us by.

So how does the home business owner drive those leads to their site?

Below are a few ideas that will ensure targeted leads...not just looky-loo's.

Purchased Leads

These are an easy way to drive traffic to your site. However traffic is not all you're looking for. You want targeted traffic, people who are looking for your product and are ready to buy.

Make sure when you purchase leads that the company is reliable. By that I mean they should have been in business for at least three years and they are not selling the same list of opportunity seekers to every home business owner. This is often hard to establish, so referrals are often your best bet here.

Article marketing

This is not only a great way to drive targeted traffic to your site it can be a lot of fun. If you like to talk you can write. Creating an article on a subject you know is not hard. It's like talking to your friend.

There are literally hundreds of article directories on the internet to publish your article...your on one right now. I would choose a few and become a regular. The more articles you publish, the better people get to you and your expertise!

Every article directory site will allow you to create a Bio. Within that Bio you can tell people about yourself and direct them to your website. If someone likes what they have just read in the article, you can be sure they will click the link to check out your product.

Pay per click

This is really one of the most profitable methods of obtaining leads but it can also be the most costly to the beginner. You have several choices, Google, Yahoo, AdBrite, Ad Click...and many more.

Google Adwords of course is the grand daddy of them all but not the play ground for the beginner. If you want to get a feel for how pay per click advertising works try using a small company first. And while you're experimenting here get educated on Google. There is plenty of training from Google and packages to purchase.

We all need leads to succeed online. These few tips can help you produce leads that will build your business.
