You never think about things until they happen to you. Do not let this be one of those times. A woman and her mother were in her car when suddenly she had a seizure come on out of nowhere. She was driving, and in the passenger seat was her elderly mother. She ran through a stop sign and collided into a car coming from the other road.

The woman’s mother suffered some bumps and bruises. The daughter ended up suffering much more. She ended up with a broken pelvis, and had to be airlifted to the hospital. Even worse, she had let her insurance lapse. This was over twenty years ago and times have changed and so have the laws. She was lucky. The other peoples insurance paid for their hospitalization then went on to pursue collecting money for the damages to the car and hospital bills. It was a great deal then, but now it would be even greater.

In the event of an accident, the last thing you'll want on your mind is 'do I have the right insurance coverage and is it going to pay for everything?' The costs associated with having to pay for damage to another person's car or, even worse, hospital bills associated with a collision are a far-cry from your monthly insurance premium you pay your car insurance company. It's important to know that the car insurance you do carry is the right car insurance and carries the state's minimum insurance coverage requirements where car insurance is concerned. Do you have the right coverage?

These days you do not want to be without the minimum amount of insurance, the state you reside in, says you need in order to operate a motor vehicle on a public highway. If you are caught, you face fines, and much more. If a person were to be involved in, an accident similar to the one just described currently, the fines and charges alone could result in no license and or jail time. Each state has its’ own sanctions which are imposed on drivers who do not carry proper insurance. Many states, such as the state of Texas, are moving even more forward by using real time to electronically monitor whether or not a vehicle has proper insurance. Do not be one of those caught in the act of driving without it. Find a policy, which will work both for and with you.

Spartan Insurance is a leader in Texas Car Insurance and has been providing insurance to Texans for nearly 40 years. The quote is free and their rates are very competitive.
