Have you ever heard anything like this from somebody in network marketing?

-We have the best COMPANY!

-Our PRODUCT is miraculous!

-The TIMING is amazing!

-Our COMP PLAN is the best in the industry!

Interesting, huh? Every company in network marketing says the exact same crud! Somehow, the spin doctors in each company can convince their distributors that all of these things are ONLY in place in their company!

I'm still waiting for somebody to tell me, "Well, you should have been here three years ago when we were really hummin'..." or "Our company is really going through a tough patch right now BUT..."

So here's the deal: none of those things really means squat to you or me anyway.

Obviously, the company has to be solvent, the products need to be good, etc., but most people can figure that stuff out for pretty easily, with just a little research.

The real question is can YOU achieve YOUR GOALS with your company? For example, I used to be with a great company, and they could sing the song as good as anybody, but I couldn't succeed with their system! It sucked! Here it is in a nutshell:

-Make a list of people you know

-Get them a company magazine or DVD

-Follow up by inviting them to a local meeting

-Rinse and repeat

And what happened after you gave your whole list a magazine or DVD?! What next? The company was strangely silent on that one... other than vague talk about the "3 foot rule" (talking to any stranger unfortunate enough to get within 3 feet of you) Yuck! I'm a lousy cold market prospector, and besides, I don't WANT to have to discuss my business with every stranger out there as part of my recruiting strategy. Most strangers I meet (and my friends and family too, for that matter) aren't good marketers anyway.

So I turned my attention to ONLINE network marketing. I then went out and found the right company FOR ME. Not according to their criteria, but according to mine.

Here's the list I made of what I was looking for:

1. Strong, compelling web-sites.

2. A great value product (affordable).

3. Low or no sign up fee.

4. An Exclusive "Non Me Too" product.

5. Compensation plan that pays on ALL volume.

6. Single Product Focus.

7. Easy to do.

I went out and found that company, went to work, and built a team of about 1,000 people in just over a year! In my previous company it took THREE years just to get a group of 400 people.

So stop listening to all the hype out there and decide what you personally need in a network marketing company, and go and find that. If your experience is like mine, you'll then find the business much easier, fun, and profitable!
