Do you dream of being able to make money working from home? By choosing one of the top work at home business opportunities and putting in some hard work, it can become a reality for you.

There are many different jobs to choose from allowing you to work solely from home. It is important not to fall for any of the get rich quick scams that are all over the internet. This is especially true if you plan to quit your regular job soon. You don't want to be left without an income, so you need to select a business that will provide a stable way to make money from home.

One of the most popular and top work at home business opportunities is medical transcription. All it requires is decent English and the ability to type fairly quickly. You will also need to have some simple equipment available including a computer, high speed internet connection, and a decent pair of headphones. In this case, your job is to listen to a tape provided by the company, usually a hospital, and dictate what the doctor says.

You will be paid on the amount of words or lines that you type, so obviously more production equals a bigger payout. As with any job, you will be faster at it as you gain more experience, so it is possible to make more money later.

You will need either the internet connection or a collection of medical books to look up terms that you are unfamiliar with, which will sometimes happen. Overall, this is a steady way to make money from home.

If you already have children and love being home to take care of them, you may think about starting your own childcare business at home. There is typically a limit to the number of children that you can legally care for in your home, but even adding a few children to your home a few days a week should bring in a nice steady income.

If you love to write, you can become a freelance writer from home. This is a great way to put your education to work and continually challenge your brain to keep your writing skills sharp. You can choose to write for online newspapers, magazines, or businesses who want to advertise their product or services through article marketing. You can also write content for websites.

If you are looking for one big challenge rather than several small ones, you could write and publish an e-book. These are generally much smaller than regular books, and are a good option for beginning your writing career.

You can decide on what type of business you would like to do from home based on your strengths and skill sets. There are many more options than the top work at home business opportunities described here, so be creative!
