If you struggle with obsessive compulsive behavior, you need to understand that you are being lied to by the medical community. They would have you believe that there is no cure and that you will need to be on medications for the rest of your life.

Nothing could be farther from the truth. You need to understand that there are simple principles upon which completeling will greatly reduce your OCD and stress. The first step is to start to diminish the stress in your life using stress reduction techniques.

Some stress reduction techniques include taking deep breathes and allowing yourself time to relax and think about your day. One of the best methods is to take mini vacations throughout the day in your mind so that you are able to get power rest.

In Japan and other places they have booths where you can go and get power naps. I can't stress how important sleep is to your overall ability to be able to get over OCD! It's imperative that you pay attention to how you are resting your body. Working out is also good but there is a time and a place for it.

What I find is that if you create for yourself a schedule, then you will be able to commit to the correct behaviors that will allow you to be able to get rid of your OCD. First of all obsessive compulsive disorder is a coping mechanism used by the brain to relieve stress. But there are other methods that are much more productive!

One of my favorite methods is to find a passion and to use my time participating in my passion. For me, my passion is helping others with OCD and as a benefit to me, it helps to keep me OCD free and I have the added incentive of being a role model so that makes it imperative that I stay OCD free.

Whatever you can do to motivate yourself to become and stay OCD free is fine. What I would recommend doing is finding videos on the subject and watch how other people are affected by OCD and you will see that and not want to suffer the same way that they are. You're brain will now have a reason to choose other habits besides OCD.

One of the most important things that you can do at this moment is to write down what kind of things that you really enjoy doing. Write down also, what things you are good at and that don't feel like "work" to you. These are the things that you should be doing for a living. What a living it will be too!

I remember when I was suffering from OCD, I did not have a passion accept OCD itself! How incredibly depressing that is?! However, this is common among people that suffer with OCD. Their passion is obsessive compulsive disorder and that is the root problem.

Just like all other bad habits, OCD must be replaced as well, with good habits that are healthy and will increase happiness and value into your life. If you will commit the time to finding your passion, you will be well on your way to becoming OCD free just like I have!
