Most people don't realize that there is a cure for OCD. Maybe they are ignorant or uneducated. However, I don't think so, I think they are simply misinformed. Most people that deal with OCD are in the business of treating it, not curing it.

They therefore don't want to cure it because then their business would fall like dominoes. You must be careful where you spend your money and to whom you give your business. There are people out there who just want your money and don't really want to help you.

Your number one defense against this is to do your due diligence. You should really google the name of the company and the person of the company with which you are considering doing business with. This is so vital, if you can't find them, don't do business with them. If you find a lot of negative things about them, don't do business with them.

You must really be careful because some of these companies that purport to say that they'll help you with OCD will actually steal your money and it's almost impossible to get it back. That is why you should not buy any service that claims to help with OCD unless you can find good things said about them online or elsewhere.

So with that being said, what kind of people should we buy OCD curing or OCD treatment information from? I would recommend finding a company that has an ex-sufferer at the head of it. You want to learn from someone who has been there before, someone who actually knows what you are going through regardless of their credentials.

You should understand that just because someone has a PhD after their name doesn't mean that they can necessarily help you, especially if they have never been through what you are going through now. If you really want to be able to navigate the road to freedom from OCD, you should ask someone who has been down that road and who can show you the way.

There are a lot of really good companies and individuals out there that can and really will help you. You just need to find them. One thing that you should really pay attention to is the reason why they are helping you. What kind of information do they give you for free? Is it of value? Can you use it right away to help relieve symptoms? These are all very important questions that need to be answered.

Finally, what I would recommend that you do is to go to the forums and OCD groups and see what other people are talking about. See which sites are listed high in google, because generally they are there because of their success. Businesses usually don't become successful unless they are offering value to their customers.

You also want to make sure that whoever you do business with, that if you don't get results within a week of their services, you should find a different company or individual because this is a sign that you are throwing your money away.
