Expand Your Business by Offering Choices, Choices, Choices!

Want to learn an easy way to expand your business, create more sales and please more clients? The secret is to put the power of choice directly into your clients hands. Here's a case in point: one of my passions is traveling and recently my family toured the state of Washington. I love to explore what's new to me -- change my routine learn and discover new things. It absolutely enriches my life. Bottom line, anything that enriches my life, enriches my business. When you are full of passion and enthusiasm, your vibrancy translates directly to benefits for your clientele.

Let me share with you the brilliance of the marketing and customer service departments of the Hotel Murano in Tacoma, Washington. Hotel Murano is a beautiful, classy, and very modern-themed hotel featuring glass art, including major installations of Dale Chilhuy's works. Hotel Murano is an absolutley lovely place to spend time. Each floor features an artist and displays their artwork. If you are in Tacoma, stay there!

Most importantly, what struck me is what we discovered when we stepped into our beautifully appointed room. We quickly assessed the room and it's amenities. One of the first discoveries was information posted by the phone entitled "Your Spiritual Menu". The "Spiritual Menu" included various spiritual resources including the Bhagavad Vita, the Torah, and the Bible among other choices. The simple menu and instructions told us that we could request the book of our choice and have it delivered to our room.Genius. In addition to the "Spiritual Menu", there was a "Pillow Menu" and a "Room Service Menu". (The room also sported an iPod docking station, which was promptly confiscated by our daughter.)

Here's the point and how "menus' of choices will help your business. Having a variety of choices is powerful way to serve more clients. We were delighted by the choices made available to us.This level of service made a lasting impression. The Hotel management's dedication to serving the needs of their clients was quite obvious.

Many business owners have "blinders" on and continue to market and offer the same products and services over and over again in the same way. It is easy to get stuck in your routine and offer the same "tired" product/service to the marketplace, and then scratch your head feeling frustrated by lackluster sales.

My coaching tip for today? Offer more choices to your clients,NOW!It's easier than you think.By putting the power of choice into your customer's hands, you create win-win for you and your clients.Use the brilliant idea of "Spiritual and Pillow Menus". Take a close look at your current products and services. How could you take your basic offering and create an "upsell" version, a "middle of the road price point" version, and an affordable, "easy to say yes" versions of it? Watch what happens! You reach more people by offering a "menu" of selections. Make it easier for your customers to enjoy your product/service.You will make it easy for your customer to choose to do business with you! Remember the power of choice in your next business planning session!
