You do have a list, right? And you are making the most money possible from this list, right? No! Well, let's do something about that.

Building a list of responsive subscribers is essential for online business success. I'm sure you know that by now. But sometimes we don't get the maximum profit from our list because we miss one little trick. I'm about to make sure you don't make the same mistake.

If you have a list, you are probably...

Marketing your own products to your list.

A classic way to get people to sign up for your list is to present a problem, and then offer a solution after they give you there name and email address. The solution often, entirely or in part, requires them to purchase your product.

Marketing affiliate products to your list.

If you don't have your own product, or even if you do, you are probably recommending affiliate products. Your subscribers have a problem, and you've researched out the best solution to the problem which is "affiliate product #2".

Both of these ways are excellent for making money with your list. But I want to offer a third way for list marketers who have their own products, or more specifically, their own affiliate program.

You see, sometimes as Internet Marketers we get sidetracked from the real wealth of an activity. For example, we may focus so much on getting traffic that we don't concentrate on the value of the traffic. Obviously, targeted traffic is more valuable than untargeted traffic. Or, we concentrate so much on getting traffic we forget that building a list is more important. Getting people to visit your site or squeeze page is one thing, but getting more targeted subscribers on your list is more valuable.

Well, the same kind of thing happens in list marketing. We concentrate so much on getting our product offer or affiliate offer in front of our subscribers, that we forget something of even more value. Turn your subscribers into partners by having them join your affiliate program.

Yes, you want sales. When someone purchases your product or an affiliate recommendation money goes into your bank account. Obviously, this is important and your online business would be dead without it. But it is just as important, or maybe even more so, to build your affiliate program.

Which would you rather have?

A subscriber purchases and you collect $50, or a subscriber becomes an affiliate and is responsible for 12 sales at $25.

Sometimes we spend so much time marketing to our list that we forget other important aspects of running an online business. We forget that building a strong, loyal affiliate team is also of high priority.

So, market your products and affiliate product (responsibly) to your list. But at some point, you should switch focus and try to partner up with your list by converting them from subscribers to affiliates. After all, they already know you and your product. They've either bought the product or have seriously considered it. So, they would make logical affiliate partners.

Don't be one of those list marketers that only promotes products over and again. Build a relationship with your list and offer then a piece of your business. This is a profit opportunity you don't want to miss!

One way links are links that point to your site from others, but which are not linked to from your website. Google and many other search engines include link popularity as part of the way they evaluate and rank websites. Links are seen as a positive "vote" towards the quality of the website. As such, the more links from other relevant websites to yours, the better.
