You are at the start of a fresh new year! I would love to help you get it going in the direction of your dreams. The direction of the desires you have within you that call to your heart.

Maybe your dreams seem too big, too "out there", too hard to make happen or maybe too different than your current reality. If you always worry about that, you'll never get there!

Remember: It's not your job to know HOW!!!

And also remember that it is a journey of growth and discovery. And with each step your life has the potential of becoming more rich and fulfilling. You can choose a big dream and know that maybe you won't be there by the end of 2008, but you are still heading in that direction and that is the direction of your heart. Of fulfillment and enjoyment.

My dream of leaving Engineering to do the work I was most passionate about took a few years, but who cares! Now I'm doing what I love with each day of my life! And each step on the journey brought me more joy, fulfillment and rewards.

When you set your intentions, the Universe will guide you to their manifestation. Your job is to set your intentions.

So how do you do that in the most powerful way?

Many people are so focused on their current reality, that they continue to create more of the same old thing year after year. New Year's comes around and they start looking at their current life and what is "wrong" with it. From that perspective they decide how it can be better.

This is logical, but definitely not powerful!

This year, why not honour the Creator that you really are and break into new territory. New life experiences that are aligned with what you want in your heart.

Look back at 2007, not to see what was wrong with it, but to use it as contrast to help you discover what new things you would like.

You are a creator. You do not need to improve on what is. You can create what will be.

Lets look at an example to help you: If you didn't get along with your partner as much as you would have liked, you may have an intention something like: "I want a better relationship with my partner".

Again, logical, but how exciting does it sound? Not at all exciting.

Instead of this, imagine how you would like it to be. Say, "what do I want?" or "what would I like to have" rather than think of how it has been.

From that good-feeling place, you can create a much more exciting intention, such as: "I am so connected and close to my partner, our relationship is amazing and truly fulfilling".

Much better!

So take that perspective when you go about creating (or updating!) your New Year's intentions.

So if in 2007 you didn't have the love you wanted, the money you wanted, the health you wanted, simply use that as information. Rather than looking at it and seeing how it should improve, ask yourself:

"What would I like instead of this?" or "How do I want this area of my life to look?"

Ask yourself what you want. You are the creator of your life. Your current reality does not have to shape your future reality unless you keep focusing on it.

A few final tips:

Another key for setting intentions for 2008 is to ONLY do this when you are feeling GOOD. If you're not feeling good, wait until you do. Or do something so you do feel good, then spend time setting your intentions.

You can make as many intentions as you want, but it is good to have one or two that are your primary focus. Intentions you will remember and focus on often to intentionally create them.

Another important tip is to write them in the present tense, using emotion words like the relationship one I wrote earlier.

That way, when you read them, you get into the energetic state of being in that new reality, which helps it to manifest much quicker and doesn't keep that new reality out there in the future.

So take the time to create or update your 2008 intentions. It is a wonderful way to set the energy for your this new year, helping the events and situations in your life to go in the direction of your dreams.
