There are many benefits of private lending and knowing those benefits is the first step to becoming a successful private lender.
-Private lending is hassle-free investing without tenants and toilets.
If you invest directly in rental properties, you know the challenges that invariably accompany owning rentals - The constant calls from tenants asking you to fix their every problem from the toilets clogging, the neighbor's dog is barking too loudly, the faucet is leaking, the heater doesn't work, the roof leaks, and can you believe....They sometimes will even want you, their landlord to pick up the slack when they are out of a job. The list goes on and on.
With private lending, you can actually receive similar monthly payments (as owning rental properties) without pesky phone calls from any problem tenants, or management company.
-Private lending offers great returns with minimal effort.
That's right, as a private lender you will work with your investment team who will do much of the work for you to ensure your private loans are properly documented, recorded and serviced throughout the life of the loan.
The bottom line is that private lending allows you to be passive and let others do the work on your behalf! That leaves all of the perspiration up to your investment team and the "genius" up to you.
-Private lending, if structured properly, is a safe investment.
-A good Private Lender will make more cash flow much faster than a "seminar" investor.
A "seminar" investor usually takes more steps and time before pulling the trigger on buying an investment property.
For example, a typical seminar investor new to real estate investing, will take the following steps: conduct a market survey to find an area where the investor feels comfortable investing; build their investment team in that local area; conduct further research to narrow the investment area; conduct rent surveys; find and evaluate several potential investment properties; make offers; negotiate and counter-offer; once there's a ratified contract, begin the due diligence process of obtaining appraisals and scheduling inspections; initiating the loan process; opening escrow, etc. - you get the picture.
This typical real estate transaction is quite an involved and time-consuming process. Whereas a private loan can begin and end in a matter of days, and the private lender can: Start realizing profits shortly after the loan has been funded!
-Private lending can complement any other kind of real estate investing, such as buy and hold, buying multi-unit apartment buildings etc...
The first step to becoming a Private Lender is to recognize the potential.
-No need to buy properties -No need to sign a mortgage -No need to deal with tenants -No need to use your own money -No need to have good credit
....And you can make more money!
