Numerous PS3 owners have questioned whether they can burn PS3 discs. It's a common question so we thought we would explain to you how this is done. This quick article will show you exactly how you can make exact backup copies of PS3 games using just your computer and its burner.

Naturally, you aren't able to use an ordinary burning program to copy PS3 games. This is due to the fact that there are guards on the game disks that inhibit your computer from being able to make sense of the info on the games. For your computer to be capable of reading the disks you must have a specific program.

Thankfully, there are now companies that have designed specific video game burning programs that make it possible for your PC to "make sense" of what is on the game. This will make it possible to burn PS3 games with your disc drive.

Just a heads up - Software businesses who develop these types of programs intend it for legal production of PS3 games. We certainly are not condoning creating illegal copies of games you don't own.

The software is easy to use; it's just like burning a music disc. As soon as you install the software, it pretty much operates automatically. You just need to launch the program when you need to backup a PS3 game. It's very user-friendly and it just takes a few clicks of the mouse to create a backup disc of any game.

Your computer will make an image of the game information after you place it in your disc tray. After this, when you put in a blank CD or DVD disc, your computer will automatically copy the game to the disc. The whole process takes in around 20 minutes. Obviously you don't need to be in front of your computer the whole time - the program takes care of everything for you.

Look for a guarantee if you do purchase a video game burning program. On the off-chance you are not fully happy with it or it does not work on your system, at least you have a way to get your funds back.

And please don't spend more than is needed! This may be obvious - you are obviously hoping for the best price. But we have seen some programs prices over $90 - this is way too much money. The best program that I know of is far less than $50.
