With so many cable TV and satellite TV alternatives, today we decided to look at yet another alternative for you to get your TV fix from. More and more people are watching live TV on the net so we did some exploring and learned more about this choice.

Part of the reason why many more people are viewing TV online now is because of the dramatic increase in the video quality of online TV and there are now a huge amount of channels you can watch. Before it was extremely difficult to locate any of the most popular channels and the quality was rough.

The technology is now to the level where you can find thousands of channels and watch all of them in high definition quality. It's incredible the improvements that have been made and it's not surprising that more people are using their computers as media centers.

So how do you get live TV on the web?

You will need to find an internet TV viewing software to install on your computer. There are a number available to select from, so here's a few features you need to look for and pay attention to.

A good selection of TV channels is a must-have in a good online TV software program. You should get access to thousands of TV channels including the major networks.

An amazing feature that I found is the ability to schedule and record your favorite programs. It's kind of like a "Tivo" - you are able to record whatever show you want so that you are able to view it later when you wish to. Not all the softwares offer this look for it when you're shopping around. You should also be given the option to hook up your computer to your TV set if you want to watch it on your main TV set.

You need to also ensure that there aren't any monthly charges. The good internet TV programs will only bill you once for lifetime access to their services. You won't be billed any monthly fees which obviously makes it a great value when you compare it to cable or satellite TV. Don't buy any software program that wants to charge you a monthly fee as you can find] a better deal.

All things considered, I was impressed with what I saw. The best internet TV programs will cost you about $45 for loads of channels which is a fantastic deal. It's also useful if you have a laptop since you can watch live TV even if you're on the road. If you're a TV buff, it's worth considering!
