In this day and age, where most businesses have online alter- egos or counterparts (some businesses may purely be online one too), it is very important to get noticed in order to gain customers and stay at the top. Thus, there are two fool proof methods in order to do so.

Pay per click marketing (also called PPC marketing or PPC advertising) and organic search are the two most effective ways to gain search traffic to your sites.

Organic search results refer to those results that come up on any search engine when somebody searches for something by typing a keyword or phrase. The site owners of the sites that came up in the results did not pay to get their sites listed in the results.

However, in order to benefit much from this, you have to get into the top ten or the first among the hundreds of result pages! This may be difficult, especially if you do not have any knowledge in search engine optimization. Without that knowledge, you may need to resort to search engine optimization consultants and experts, which can also be quite pricey.

Pay Per Click Marketing is another online campaign where you get to bid how much you are willing to pay if someone clicks your ad. This ad is displayed when somebody does a related keyword or term search. This is very effective when you are among the top bidders because you will find your ad on the top of the organic results list.

Google Adwords, for example has a do-it-yourself pay per click marketing system where anyone can bid in order to have their ads shown beside and on top of the organic search result pages. What is cost-effective about this method is that you only get to pay when someone clicks your ad.

You can use the two systems at the same time, but for people with limited budget, it can be very expensive. Thus, one of the best strategies for greater exposure is to have a balance between organic search and the use of PPC advertising. You can do so by starting with driving traffic to your site with the help of pay per click advertising, and then when your site starts to rank higher or when you have already started building a steady stream of traffic, you can stop bidding on keywords on the pay per click site.

While this method is in fact ideal, there is no single solution that is perfect for everyone. You can either use organic search alone and do well with it, or use pay per click alone and also generate lots of clicks, or you can make use of both. Your decision on what to use will depend on the urgency of your need for sales, the amount that you're willing to spend and invest, and the long term goals that you have for your website.

There are a lot of tips and techniques available for effective PPC advertising campaigns, so search them out and go with one that demonstrates results.

Seize this sensational opportunity to get inside information on how to maximize your PPC advertising profits.
