Every sunrise you awaken and find yourself on destiny's doorstep with a choice about what you will turn this day into. Will you choose to replay the day before, or step across the threshold of your destiny to embrace the unknown?

Most of us replay the prior day, reliving old stories, excuses, negative patterns, and limitations. We attempt to fit every new, magical moment into a worn-out, ineffective, outdated model of the world - a model formed by parents, teachers, and society.

Our attempt at original thought has provided painful reminders that we should stay put, solidly entrenched in our comfort zones. Our society allows and encourages us to shrink back into mediocrity, chanting the words of the fearful masses:

"At least I tried." "Better safe than sorry." "I can't do it."

We are afraid … of failing in public … of being found out as frauds … of losing our grip on the little we control. Our worst fear - of not being enough - keeps us afraid of losing the love of our friends and family, those that form the ring and the barriers of our comfort zone

I know what it is to be paralyzed by fear. After two failed marriages, several failed businesses, and finding myself in a homeless shelter begging for food, I began to search passionately for the tools that would eventually help me to transform my life. I hope they will help you to transform yours.

The fires of originality, genius, and love all burn from the depths of our soul. The hotter and fiercer the fire, the more ingenious we become at damping it. We quell the fire with food, anti-depressants, alcohol, pot, drugs, movies, bars, and mind-numbing television.

It is only through the pursuit of our deepest desires and our highest good that the reality of a life well lived will be realized. True happiness comes from chasing our dreams and serving others.

Your challenge today is to grasp the highest version of yourself. When you do, greed, laziness, blame, self pity, lack, jealousy, and depression melt away as if by magic. In fact, the only time you can feel any pain is when you are directing your focus on yourself.

We all have met individuals, who, despite physical, mental, emotional, environmental, or cultural challenges can still smile, because they are serving others, and they inspire us. While serving others, there is no room for pity parties or whining.

YOU are a powerful agent of change and inspiration! The mere fact that you are able to read this article and comprehend the ramifications of truly living a life to its full potential should make your heart beat a few paces quicker and have you looking for someone to serve - even if it is just smiling at someone who needs a smile, or apologizing to someone who doesn't deserve an apology.

Believe in the voice inside you that screams … "YOU CAN DO IT!"

Begin now to embrace your destiny as it knocks! Embrace the fear of the unknown instead of clinging to the stifling and suffocating familiarity of your comfort zone! Deep inside, you know that on the other side of that leap into your passion is the only place of true fulfillment.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that others won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we subconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. - Marianne Williamson.

Are you looking to reach another level? Do you ache to stand up and be counted? Are you capable of more than you are demonstrating at this moment? Each and every day is another opportunity to choose your reality. Each one of us has the untapped capability to create miracles in our life! NO LIMITS!

Future articles in this series will offer the tools for overcoming those things which seem to keep us enslaved to the tyranny of our past - the keys to unlocking the ultimate you.

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day. -Dylan Thomas: Welsh poet, 1914-1953.
