Article Directory :: Internet Marketing/Online Business Articles
In this article I want to talk about easy blog traffic and how to get it! Do you remember an old TV commercial that went something like "a mind is a terrible thing to waste"? This could be said about some of the terrific blogs available on the Internet today.
The problem with these blogs is nobody is seeing them because the bloggers do not know how to promote them. Blogging is no different than Internet marketing has been for several years now.
Your emphasis is to get a backlink which can lead to traffic to your blog. Think of a backlink as a road leading to your blog. You want to get your blog URL on as many other websites and blogs as you possibly can.
So how do you do that and do it in an easy way?
The easiest way to do this is to create a keyword list of hundreds or even thousands of words that relate to the theme of your blog. You can even separate these into various categories if your blog as multiple categories.
Then you just write a blog article around one keyword phrase at a time!
You start at the top of your blog post and put the keyword phrase in the title. Keep in mind that longtail keyword phrases of three or more words will give you an advantage when it comes to ranking high with search engines.
You also want to include your keyword phrase in the introduction and closing paragraphs of your blog article. Throughout the article itself use variations of this keyword phrase as it sounds natural, but do not worry about using the exact keyword phrase again.
What you are doing is setting up a strategy of search engine optimization. This will give your blog potential traffic from the search engines as they rank your articles based on these keyword phrases.
However relying strictly on the search engines to spider your blog is not enough. You must be proactive and go out and bookmark your blog posts to several of the top social directories. I would definitely include in this list Stumble Upon, Digg, Propeller, and Technorati.
You have now given yourself the opportunity to create backlinks from these social directories to the blog URL from the article you posted. These will also serve as search engine bait which can rank your blog articles for those keywords giving you additional traffic.
One final point we want to make is your blog must come alive and be creative in various ways. You must put an emphasis on the keywords you are writing about, and you can also include things to make your blog exciting.
These type of things would be adding video, audio, graphics, banners, and so on to liven your blog up.
Your blog traffic will increase as people find it and subscribe to your RSS feed. If you do not have an RSS feed you need to add that to your blog right now. This is potential repeat visitors which is another form of easy blog traffic.
All you have to do is look at some of your competitors to come up with more ideas to make your blog even better than it currently is.
However, if you are not targeting the right keyword phrases, social bookmarking your blog to the right directories, and making it more lively, you are penalizing yourself from the easy blog traffic you deserve.
