The internet is one place where you can actually make money in slow times. This is especially true if you rely on your local economy to earn a living.

You just need to broaden your reach!

For example, if you have a retail store in a town of 2000 people you are pretty much in a hopeless situation if the economy goes in the tank. Your customer base will still buy food and shelter and that is probably about it.

I live in Imperial, Ne. and am always amazed at how well our little town does, but am equally amazed at how many local businesses do not go online to make more money.

The reason is very simple. They Do Not Know How!

Making money in slow times calls for extraordinary measures for some businesses. That may mean learning something new.

I saw a blog article recently on Making Money In A Down Economy that discussed creating a product of your own and selling it online to make money. This is a very good idea.

Create 'how to" reports or ebooks and sell them online. This is something anyone can do no matter where they live and how bad the economy is.

I like this idea because you have no shipping costs and your audience is anyone interested no matter where they live. you can create your reporter e-book around something you are an expert in.

For example if you are a plumber you could create a report on how to install a sink, or how to add a bathroom in your basement. If you're not comfortable writing you can hire someone to actually do the writing for you.

You just give them the ideas and let them put the words to it. Believe it or not many biographies from famous people are written this exact same way.

You can also go to ClickBank and sell many of the thousands of digital products they offer. These are easily arranged by category and sub category, so the odds of finding one you want to sell are very good.

The nice thing about this is the e-books are already written for you. In many instances the publisher also provides you with marketing materials such as graphics and banners to promote your click Bank affiliate website with.

In summary this should give you some very good ideas on using info products to make money in slow times. Anyone can do it and thousands of people do on the internet everyday!
