If you are just starting out on the Internet and want to make money online you will enjoy this article. We are going to talk about how beginners can make money online.

1. Identify why you want to make money. Noted expert Jack Zufelt says this is more important than goal setting and I agree. Once you know why you want to make money this will motivate you to do the necessary things to actually make it.

2. Do You have an area of interest or expertise? Start an online blog of your own and monetize it with Google Adsense and other affiliate programs. It is preferable that you arrange for hosting with a quality hosting companies such as Host Gator.

Then set up a WordPress blog on your hosting account. If you aren't comfortable doing this you can hire someone such as Jeff Houdyschell with Wordpress Max to do it for you.

3. Develop a keyword list using the free keyword tool from Google. Choose a primary key word for your new Internet business that gets about 10,000 searches a month. Then put together a list of hundreds of keywords that you will begin to target in your blog articles.

4. Begin to write short articles of around 250 words targeting each keyword. Include the keyword in the title of your blog post, and in the first and last paragraphs of the article. Bold it for additional emphasis!

5. Have fun and write articles on a consistent basis. The more articles you are writing the more potential traffic you can get from those. You might even consider outsourcing some of your writing needs where you can get blog articles written for about five dollars each.

6. Install Onlywire.com on your blog and quickly social bookmark each article to multiple social directories at a time. Bookmarking your blog posts will give you immediate traffic, as well as back links for future traffic as well. These will also serve as search engine bait as search engines spider the top social directories constantly.

7. Join Twitter and begin to build a list of followers. Social networking is an important part of making money online and an excellent source for traffic when you do it right.

In summary these are seven steps to help you get started making money online as a beginner. View your Internet business as a long term operation and it will pay you back handsomely in the future.
