Ever been stuck staring at your computer screen trying to get that first article written? If you are trying to make money online you may know that one of the most effective ways to promote your website or affiliate program is article marketing.

But writing doesn't come naturally to a lot of us, so we pull our hair out trying to get that first article out, get discouraged, and take the easy way out by throwing a bunch of money at pay-per-click campaigns that suck our money away.

What if I told you I found a way to make article marketing easy?

Article marketing is nothing more than writing a short ( 400-800 word ) article on a topic that relates to a keyword or phrase you are targeting, with that keyword in your title and throughout your article. You then include your bio information with your keyword as an "anchor" link back to your website or affiliate sales pitch page. You gave the reader a little taste of what they are looking for and hopefully left them hungry for more, so they click your link.

Wash, rinse, and repeat as they say on the internet.

So how do you make it easy if writing doesn't come naturally?

This article is the fourth I've written today, and none took more than 30-45 minutes to write. Here are my simple steps to start turning out articles today:

1)Choose something you know about. What kind of experiences do you have, what would you like to share, what kind of work do you do? This is a good starting point because it cuts down on your research time. That is what eats up the most time and discourages more writers before they ever get started. If you can cut this step out, you are ahead of the game. Something that you are passionate about or have knowledge of or some experiences with will help you with that.

2)Imagine you are talking with a friend. Write as if you are talking with a friend. What kind of conversation would you have, what do you want them to know? Your words will flow much easier this way and sound more natural.

3)Answer a question. What kind of questions do you have? What do you want to learn more about? I guarantee someone else has the same question as well. Write to answer your question and you will answer someone else's question also.

4)Just get on the keyboard and start typing. Start with your keyword and think of a catchy title. If it isn't too catchy, don't worry about it...you can always come back to that later. The hardest part is getting started. You already have your keyword, you know what your topic is, just start typing!

Great, now that you have your first article, it is time to write more. You need to do so on a consistent basis. Stuck for ideas? Look at the article you just wrote....I'm looking at this one right now. I could do an article on what is article marketing, I could do an article on how to find products to market, I could do an article on why article marketing is so effective, I could do an article on the key components every article should have....you get the picture. There are probably ten more articles I could squeeze out of this one here. All I have to do is find a keyword I want to target, plug it in, and type.

There you go....I hope that inspired you. There really is no better way to make money online if you are just starting off.

Hope to see you around the internet!
