The Infrawave speed oven from Black & Decker will let you forget all about your traditional toaster-oven. It's the latest thing in cooking technology. The Infrawave oven uses specific wavelengths of light that are emitted from high-frequency light bulbs, which means you'll be getting instant heat without the need for preheating like conventional ovens or toaster ovens and you'll get faster results than either as well.

You won't even have to concern yourself with setting the proper temperature to cook at since the unit's automatic menu selects the temperature for you and cycles the cooking lights according to the type of food being cooked.

Because of the way it uses infrared light technology to cook the inside and outside of foods at the same time, you'll get perfectly prepared food every time that is both juicy and flavorful, and brown and crispy as well.

You'll get professional chef-quality meals in less time than ever before with:

* No preheating required
* No thawing required either ... take frozen meals right from the freezer to the oven - many frozen foods are ready in 20 minutes or less
* 52 pre-programmed settings - you'll certainly find one that's right for the meal you're preparing
* The Infrawave oven is up to 50% faster than a conventional oven

The Infrawave speed oven gives you foods prepared with times similar to those of a microwave oven but there are features here that a microwave can't touch.

The Infrawave oven:

* Browns food as nice or nicer than a conventional oven (try doing that with a microwave)
* Grills meats to perfection whether you're cooking steaks, fish or chicken it all comes out perfectly
* Reheats leftovers in a jiffy so they taste better than the original
* You won't get that "bland taste" that a microwave sometimes gives foods
* The oven is compact too, measuring 14 inches wide, 13 ¾ inches deep and 10 inches tall

There are a number of functions that can be selected from the oven's intelligent keypad. You can select broil, high or low, for steaks, pork chops, chicken, hamburgers or hot dogs. There are also preprogrammed settings for family favorites like French fries or chicken wings.

And if you need to convert a conventional recipe, the Infrawave has you covered there too. There's a button on the digital control panel that will convert regular cooking times to Infrawave time. How convenient is that.

Even baking cookies is faster and simpler with the Infrawave.

Here's how the process goes with a conventional oven:

* Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
* Wait approximately 10 minutes for the oven to heat up
* Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 13 minutes

Let's see how the process works with an Infrawave Speed Oven:

* Place the cookies in the oven
* Press the "cookies" button on the control panel and then
* Press the "cookies" button again to accept the default time of 7 minutes (for most cookies) The Infrawave oven heater lights will then cycle on and off (as a part of the normal cooking process) as needed for baking the cookies.
* It's that simple ... perfectly done cookies in almost half the time of the conventional oven

All things considered, the Infrawave Speed oven is a welcome new addition to the modern kitchen with many benefits not found in other cooking appliances.
