The life blood of any Internet home business is traffic. Without traffic there is simply no reason to have a website. The more visitors you have will ultimately lead to more sales. There are several free methods to get traffic to your site here a just a few.

Start a Blog- Blogging has become the most effective method of gaining visitors to websites. Simply posting on a regular basis about the affiliate marketing products you offer with a back link to your site will bring visitors. Google and other search engines love the blog format and the more posts you make will improve your ranking.

Posts in Forums- People go to forums in search of answers. They offer an excellent source of free advertising. Simply search these forums and when someone asks a question you offer an informative response. Offering your advice free of charge will garner respect in the forums and more people will turn to for advice. The key is to have a link to your website in your signature so people can click on it to get more information.

Viral Marketing- this is one of the oldest and most effective methods of online marketing. People search the Internet for information. Nothing works better than to offer a great e-book for free. You place several links back to your site in the e-book and a full page add at the end and tell your readers they are free to give away the book and you will see tremendous results.

Social Marketing- This has become one of the favorite ways to promote websites. Simply posting a sample of your most recent post on your blog to any of the hundreds of social sites will give you those back links that the search engines look for.

Article Marketing- This is another method that has been around for almost as along as the Internet and continues to be a effective way to bring traffic to your website. The main driver of traffic to a website is new and interesting material. Buy writing interesting and informative articles and then submitting them to article directories will bring some of the most top quality visitors to your site. A person who has read your article and then chooses to go to your website for more information is more likely to buy something than someone who just randomly clicked on an advertisement.

If you are new to new to affiliate marketing or you simply are trying to drive more traffic to a existing website than any of these methods will. To truly get the most out of your efforts you need to get involved in all of them. However, its better to become proficient at one or two of these methods and then move on to another instead of trying all of them at once and not succeeding.

The best part is that all of these methods are free so you can learn at your own pace and not go broke trying to get traffic. With hard work and patients your internet home business will be a success.
