Everyone that has been involved in affiliate marketing for a decent amount of time has heard of the so-called gurus and super affiliates. Many wonder why only a small percentage of people achieve success and an online status that comes with it. The answers are there, we just have to open our eyes.

There is a predominant belief that it's hard to succeed in affiliate marketing. It sometimes seems that only newbies can harbour beliefs about making it big. And they, of course, don't last too long. First failure, first roadblock, and most of them are gone. This belief, unfortunately, is present in every aspect of life, not just affiliate marketing.

The ugly truth that most are unable to understand is that all of the gurus and online marketers that we call super affiliates, all of them share a certain quality. A quality that sets them apart from everyone else. What they all have in common is the "I can do this" mindset. It makes all the difference, placing this minority of affilites on the top.

This mindset contains a very important ingredient for success, and that is vision. They have a vision of their life, and what that life should be. Their thinking is productive, because they are focused on achieving success. Action is taken as a product of their vision, results always follow.

Another thing that is contained in that mindset is the intention-attention balance. It means that they hold an intention to succeed, to make money, to build lists, to get traffic, and they feed that intention with focusing and giving attention only to those things that can make their intention a reality. In a nutshell, they do not waste time by thinking "what if'", "I can't" and "won't work". Life is much more simpler for them, as their thought proccesses are a one-way street to success.

Naturally, most of us do not share these qualities, or at least we were not born with them. But, this can be fixed. It's not easy to create our own super affiliate mindset, but on the other hand, it's easier than most of us think. All it takes is a choice.

You must choose to live differently, you must create your vision, and choose to let that vision guide you. I know, I know, many tried and many failed. But does that mean that you must fail as well?

Those with vision mostly think of what they want, unlike others who mostly think of things that they don't want, things that are going bad, etc. Without finding your own vision, your own mission or purpose, without it you can hardly expect to make it.

Henry David Thoreau wrote that "if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours". I think it's one of the most beautiful things that I have ever read. And it's completey true!

To become a super affiliate, a successful person in general, you must find and identify your vision. It will guide you, it will take over your thinking, give you the persistence that you need and make you grow with each step that you take. And to become a super affiliate, you really must grow.
