OK, it's go time!
You joined a health club, local boot camp or online personal training program. Maybe you purchased some workout clothes, and you've made arrangements in your personal life to fit your workouts in. Now, let's get started!!
But wait a second...are you missing something?
Did you forget to stop and set clear, specific and measurable goals? I'm not talking about vague goals like, "I want to lose weight" or "I want to get back in shape and be healthy." Do you have a clear mental picture of what you want to accomplish?
Is that important? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
The most important thing you can do to be successful is paint a picture on the screen of your mind of EXACTLY what you want and then set very clear objectives for yourself.
If a man knows not what harbor he seeks, any wind is the right wind.

Readers of this blog will soon discover that I am a big fan of Napoleon Hill's books, especially Think & Grow Rich. While a large focus is on amassing material riches, the lessons apply to achieving all of life's riches - health, wealth and happiness.
Check out this excerpt from Think & Grow Rich that shows how important it is to: - Set a clear GOAL - Have the COURAGE to take ACTION - Have the FAITH that you will succeed
The Spur That Drives to Riches A long while ago, a great warrior faced a situation which made it necessary for him to make a decision which insured his success on the battlefield. He was about to send his armies against a powerful foe, whose men outnumbered his own. He loaded his soldiers into boats, sailed to the enemy's country, unloaded the soldiers and equipment, and then gave the order to burn the ships that had carried them. Addressing the men before the first battle, he said, "You see the boats going up in smoke. That means that we cannot leave these shores alive unless we win! We now have no choice - we win - or we perish!"
They won.
Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to burn his ships and cut all sources of retreat. Only by so doing can one be sure of maintaining the state of mind known as a burning desire to win, essential to success.
Here are Six Steps to follow to set yourself up for weight loss success:
1. Decide EXACTLY what it is that you want to accomplish. Set clear expectations for yourself. 2. Determine what you intend to give in return for this accomplishment (there is no such thing as something for nothing). 3. Establish a definite timeline for your accomplishment. 4. Create a precise plan for carrying out your accomplishment and start immediately, whether you feel you are ready or not. Do not procrastinate! 5. Write your goal and action plan down. 6. Read your written goal aloud, twice a day. As you review your goal, picture yourself already in possession of your goal.
"The greatest danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short, but in setting our aim to low and achieving our mark." - Michelangelo
Don't sell yourself short. Dream BIG and go after what you want!
Have Faith & Take Action!
