If you are a person who is quite active on the internet, you will always be reading about how easy it is to make money on the internet. I am not talking about $100 here and a $100 there, I am talking about serious money! Something like $10,000 per week.

Don't get me wrong, I know plenty of people who are making that level of income from the internet. But what I am saying is, that not one of them would say, "it is easy money". Why, well the simple answer is that none of them were making that sort of money for quite a long time after they started building an internet business.

Like any new business, whether it is working at home on the internet, or offline, it takes quite a long time before you are actually making money, never mind thousands of dollars in the first few months. There is no mystery as to why. You just don't have the contacts, the total knowledge, nor the insight as to how to make big money.

One thing that is common though, is that a lot of these people love working from home. Many have built quite big empires from their first beginnings, but most of them have been at it for many years. Often you will hear one of these people say, "in the first couple of years I just didn't know what I was doing, I just kept trying lots of things until I found something that worked".

That is about the sum total of it. You need to keep trying to see if you like how you are making money on the internet. There are product developers, writers, web designers, trainers, affiliate marketers, product sellers, writers, ebay marketers, etc.

FIND THE PASSION

There are so many ways that you can make money on the internet, but you usually have to try several ways first before you fall in love with something that you can be so passionate about that you will work at it almost day and night to make it succeed.

FIND GOOD TRAINING

Go to the guru's for your training. Either purchase it over the internet, or attend their training conferences. By going to the guru's you will cut your learning time by months, and save lots of money along the way.

FIND PRODUCTS THAT YOU LIKE

If you are going to be a product seller, either your own like ebooks, or an affiliate marketer (other people's products), do it right. Make sure the product is great! If you are selling other people's products, buy it first and make sure it works the way it is purported to!

If you are going to work at home and build an internet business, be prepared to put in many hours before you see the dollar return, but stick with it. There are many riches to be made on the internet, but you have to learn how, when and where.
