Semi Permanent Make Up is becoming more popular and more recognised which is due to the amount of new technicians that are being trained, and the exposure that this treatment is getting in the media has also widened it's appeal, Cancer patients are one group of people benefiting from this treatment as well as celebrities who want to always look their best.

Semi Permanent Make up is also known as; Permanent Make Up, Permanent Cosmetics, Cosmetic Tattooing etc.

So, what exactly is it?

Semi Permanent Make Up is basically having your make up tattooed on, and it is used mainly for Eyebrows, Eyeliner and Lips.

It can also be used for camouflaging scars after surgery.

Even though it is often referred to as 'Semi' (in the UK) it should be seen as a permanent procedure, the ink will fade over a number of years but this should not be seen as a 'Semi Permanent' procedure.

To reduce the pain of the treatment a numbing cream will be used prior to the treatment, a sterilized needle will then be used to tattoo small amount of pigment ink into the top layer of the skin.

Procedures can take 2 -3 hours but this time will include an initial stage where the make is drawn on first, which will demonstrate the shape and look of the final treatment beforehand.

Prices vary from technician to technician but each treatment can range between £200 and £500 depending on the level of experience of the technician you are talking to.

So, who can benefit from this procedure?

Ladies with asymmetrical lips Ladies with very thin lips Ladies who want to save money Ladies who want to save time

Let's explore this further.

Ladies who have asymmetrical lips or very thin lips can benefit form SP Lip Make up as the procedure can even out or enhance the appearance and size of their lips, for ladies who are very conscious about the appearance of their lips, this procedure can help to give them more confidence about the way they look.

Another benefit from receiving this treatment in the long run is a financial one, by having your lip colour tattooed on it prevents the need for re-application during the day and this can save you money over time.

Ladies who have a very busy schedule but also want to always look their best can benefit from this procedure as they will not need to keep re-applying through the day, so this will save them time throughout the day, plus their lips will always look their best.
