We oftentimes hear the description "ageless" to someone who at the prime of his years still looks young, healthy, and full of energy. Everybody wants that, being in tiptop shape in those prime years.

The search for that legendary "fountain of youth continues with the relentless efforts medical science to look lengthen the lives of human beings.

Yes, anti aging is possible and maintaining that youthful look and unstoppable energy can be done. Since the time of ancient civilizations, the search for that secret to staying young has always been of great importance and as time progressed with huge milestones in science and technology in the field of diseases and genetics, the quality of humankind's health has tremendously improved leading to an increased life expectancy.

Before one is lead into the conclusion that the efforts of medical science is centrally focused on keeping the same young looking appearance and increasing life, then one has to think it over.

These will just be results of the more pressing focus of medical science on doing more researches and studies on anti aging, and that is improving the quality of life as one ages by trying to eradicate and cure the common diseases that come with aging.

These diseases are normally the causes of aging horrors such as graying and reducing hairline, wrinkled and worn out skin, protruded belly and distorted physical structure, debilitating memory, weakness, and early death.

One has to understand first of course that aging cannot be stopped altogether like that legend of the "fountain of youth" where it promises you to stay young forever and ever.

That's a far-fetched idea of course, not even science can stop you from reaching those years when you will be ready to face the sunset of your life. The good news is, aging can be slowed down and your quality of life even during those golden years can be much improved.

That is as far as modern medical science can do. And experts in the field will all agree with one basic fact, and that is maintaining and enhancing the body's immune system. And how is this achieved?

Basic and universal facts will always apply. To protect the immune system means to keep the body strong and resistant from diseases that weaken and tear that energy apart and this in turn will make you look older and not much happy feeling good about yourself as your prime years approach.

These basics include a well balanced and proper nutrition, adequate rest, regular mental and physical exercises, proper skin care, regular check ups with your medical professional for recommendations on the best vitamin and food supplements, and possibly, anti aging medicines.

With all the natural ways to delay the aging process, what is important at the end of the day is that you approach the prime of your life without any past regrets or grudges and having lived your life well.

All these and more plus the positive outlook in life that "As a man thinketh, so is the man", which means that you your body responds to what your mind thinks, aging should not be a dreaded era of our lives and instead it should be the most fulfilling part when you have come of age and just realized that life was a blessing.
