As with most strollers the features in double stroller can vary and when you are buying your double stroller you should take care to ensure that you are getting the one that best meet your needs.
If you are the proud parents of twins then a double stroller that can also be referred to as a twin stroller is your best option. These models have two seats that recline fully thus accommodating very young children and some models also have the feature of being able to clip two car seats to the frame. This can be a very practical feature when babies are very young. This doesn't mean that you can't use a twin stroller to accommodate children of different ages.
Another version of a double stroller is the tandem stroller. This model is designed for two children of different ages with one seat in front of the other. The rear seat is usually fully reclining for use by a young child and the front seat more fixed upright for an older child. The big advantage of this style is that manoeuvring through doorways is often much easier with this model.
Yet another double stroller variation is the side-by-side version. This is very similar to the twin stroller although it may not have all the same features. It can be used for children of the same age or of different ages and many come with two fully reclining seats. With the seats being side-by-side on the type of double stroller the occasional downside is the manoeuvring through some doorways can prove awkward.
There is no doubt that if you are out and about with two young children a double stroller of any version can be of immense use and in the market place today there is an incredible choice of double stroller.
From lightweight, umbrella folding double strollers through side-by-side or tandem jogging strollers to double strollers with frames to clip car seats to and even side-by-side double stroller bike carriages that attach to the back of your bike, there is a double stroller that will fit into your lifestyle like a glove.
The trick is to look at your current lifestyle and then pick a double stroller to match your needs. If you are a keen jogger then a jogging style double stroller is worth investigation or if you frequently visit the mall then ensuring that your choice of double stroller has swivel wheels is important for manoeuvrability. Whatever you decide an informed decision is best so give it some thought and do a bit of research before buying a double stroller.
