My parents were hard working, devoted good Americans. One was a Democrat and the other was a Republican. They were American through and through. They were part of the "Great Generation". You know, the ones that paid a tremendous price for this country. I remember when they used to tell me about the Great Depression years and how tough it was. They said, "the difference in a depression and a recession is in a depression, if you wanted to buy something for a nickel, you did not have a nickel. In a recession, a real one, not the ones the politicians claim today, you would have the nickel to buy something, but it cost a lot more than a nickel.They were survivors. By that I mean, you shut things down like a train, car, or truck where food is unable get into you or anything else for that matter, and they would find a way to use whatever land they had to plant crops, slop hogs, feed the chickens, milk the cows, and barter for food and other items to live. My mother told me of a time she had a pair of shoes to last through the depression and they were kept going by placing cardboard in the soles. She told me of one dress that she had for a year and it was made out of a tow sack. A tow sack is what they kept flour and other items in. They had no electricity, just oil burning lamps. No wonder they call America the land of the free and home of the brave.

I consider the Internet as "The Land of the Free and Home of the Brave" as well. I am unable to count the number of individuals since I have been doing business online that sacrificed to make the Internet business what it is today. Lot of businesses have come and gone by the wayside for the knowledge we gained. During the tough Internet depression years there were very little tools to use. Now we have thousands to choose from. The tools were hard to come by then, however, now many are free. All you have to worry about is getting the right tool and the right business at hand. But the Internet business is non- forgiving. If you have a problem online take care of it right then or it will eat your lunch up. It is typically the home of the brave where people will strike out looking for hope to get away from their present situation and free to take it on any time, any how, and any way. It is not for the faint at heart. You better be tough, real tough. There is no free lunch.

Anyone that is at home and free should take a leap of faith and be brave and get into the Internet business for a living. Just take it easy and take one step at a time. I think as you go you will find that it is nothing like what the young men who have sacrificed their lives for this country or the parents that also paid their dues so that this country can be free. You will find it much safer, less harsh, and the cost is a lot less. In the Internet world of the land of the free and home of the brave; I recommend anyone to join. Just realize how lucky you are and be thankful for the ones that have paved the way for your business to exist online.
