If you want to look classic, flawless and mask any visible signs of aging, incorporate these eight useful and easy anti-aging makeup tips in your daily routine.

The first step is to apply foundation.

You will want to use one that offers a proper amount of UV protection and is a good moisturizer. You can even use a tinted moisturizer or light foundation. Look for moisturizers that offer "illuminating" or "light reflecting" properties.

Also be sure to match your foundation to the skin at your jawline; nothing is more artifical looking than an unblended makeup line at the jaw.

Apply a powder.

Be sure to match the powder to your skin tone and use small amounts to blend lightly over fine lines. Overpowdering looks cakey and is not an appropriate or effective anti-aging technique.

3. Use a blusher.

By purchasing the right shade of blush, you can easily take years off your face. For anti aging, corals and pinks tend to be best.

Remember that you don't need to spend a fortune at a department store makeup counter to look your best; some wonderful and inexpensive products are available.

When applying blusher, apply in circular motions and start by using small amounts, adding gradually as needed. You might also apply a bit of blush at the temples. Make sure that your blush is blended properly.

Mascara Application

Mascara opens the eye for a more youthful appearance and can be found in three general formulas; lengthening, natural and volumizing.

Brown colored mascaras create a softer look--you should probably avoid black because it can look too severe and not work with an anti aging makeup look.

To apply mascara you will need to start at the top of the lashes because it will give the illusion that your eyes are more open and your face has been lifted. You should avoid applying mascara to your bottom lashes, however, because it will only emphasize an dark discoloration and circles under your eye.

5. Pefect the use of eyeliner.

A gray or brown pencil line or shadow applied and slightly smudged can give your a smokey, softness and emphasize your eyes.

Eyebrow definition

You can use a powder or pencil to define and fill in your eyebrows--you should use a color that is lighter than the color of your brows.

7. Using a lipstick.

The right shade of lipstick can be magic to your face and perfect your look. Use whatever shade suits your skin tone, and in whatever formula suits your style.

In most cases, pink with a hint of mauve is perfect for an anti aging makeup palette. Using a long-lasting lipliner will prevent lipstick from bleeding into featherly lines around your mouth.

You should consider buying a lipstick that offers UV protection.

8. Choosing the right eyeshadow.

Avoid bright and metallic eyeshadows to avoid adding years to your face. Minimal, subtle color applied just to the lid will open your eye and give your face a classic, flawless softness.
