What do you want from your Orlando vacation rental? Let's assume that you have decided on a Disney vacation, and have gone for a villa rather than a hotel room. There's no point in enumerating the countless reasons why a hotel room is so inferior to having your own vacation rental in Orlando, but just in case you still need some persuading here are a few without embellishment.

Do you honestly want to spend your vacation living in one room? If you have children, do you really want them to have their own hotel room? Would you be able to relax and sleep well at night knowing they could be anywhere? What if they are too old to share a room? You now have three hotel rooms to pay for, and at what price?

What if you are spending your Orlando vacation with a bunch of buddies? You all need your own rooms, and then you have to be quiet at night so as not to upset the other guests. Sharing a pool with a couple hundred more people? Having to get out to allow the maid do the cleaning? Hotel booze prices and room service prices if you get hungry at night. Need I go on? No!

So, you have made the wise choice and elected for an Orlando vacation rental for your Disney vacation - or perhaps your Florida golfing holiday, who cares. It all amounts to the same thing. A 5 bedroom Vacation rental will cost $210 in high season when you could pay that for just one hotel room. If there are 5 of you it's only $42 each a night, or $21 each for 10 of you. The villa offers you a private pool and spa, and you can drink your own drinks at supermart prices by your own pool.

You can stay up till any time you like, and you have a luxury kitchen if you feel hungry and want to rustle yourself up a chili dog or some burgers. Watch your 42 inch plasma screen while the kids pay with their Playstation in their room. Their 'room'? They have room each! And you know where they are.

So that's settled. A vacation rental in Orlando it is. So back to the original question: what do you want from your Orlando vacation rental? If yours is a Disney vacation, then it has to be close to Disney World how does 10 minutes suit you? If not Disney then a golfing vacation? How about a villa with a golf course close by? And, of course, all these great Florida golf courses available for you. There are a number of Golf Academies if you want to brush up on your drive or swing, and a vacation villa is just great for a bunch of guys: some can sleep 12 or more and you can crack open some beers at night without worrying about hotel guests - or hotel prices!

That hasn't answered the question though, of what you want from an Orlando vacation rental. Close to Disney - sure. Sleeps as many as you want - yes. Luxury kitchen so you can cook your own food when you feel like it - sure. TVs and DVD players - yep. What's been missed? The ice box and pool. Yes, these are there, and your spa.

How about a pool table? You can have a pool table and table football or Foos-Ball. When you're bored with golf (are you kidding?) you can always get a few beers and shoot some pool on a proper table - just for you in your own games room.

If you are here with the family, you can go get some golf instruction while your partner takes the kids round Disney, then go join them later to have look round the Universal Studios and finish off at the Amura Japanese Restaurant for something a bit different to what you get back home. Well you are on vacation, so go ahead and spoil yourself - and them.

There are two points to all of this. The first is that you can have a great time in Orlando, and the attractions are just half of it. The other half is your Orlando vacation rental accommodation that you will look forward to going home to when it is time, unlike a boring hotel room that you will try to leave till the very last minute of the day. Enjoy a relaxing evening round the pool, maybe with a barbecue and some wine while the kids enjoy playing with their games console or watching a movie.

The second part is that you are saving so much money against hotel room and bar prices that you can afford the Japanese restaurant and all the other little luxuries that make for a memorable vacation. People that take the plunge and choose a vacation rental for the first time never return to any other form of accommodation.

It is so relaxing and you have so much to do that you could spend your entire vacation in the villa and have a great time. Not that you will, of course, because Orlando has so much to offer, but you will always remember your Orlando Vacation villa, and will be dying to come here again for a Disney vacation next year for more of the same. You can't beat it!
