Article Directory :: Internet Marketing/Online Business Articles
To run a successful internet business you will need to optimize the time you have to work on it. Especially if you have the dreaded day j.o.b.. The amount of time you have to work on your internet business will be limited to say the least.
If you are limited to just a few hours a day, coming up with a strict attack plan will be necessary to make you some money. There are several things that you have to do in that limited time so you must not haste and waste precious time scanning the world wide web.
It's easy to get distracted in the online world checking emails, stats, accounts, social media sites, and YouTube just to name a few. Here are a few hints to keep you on that track to success.
The first thing you have to keep in mind is the reason why you are running an internet business. Is your reasoning strong enough to keep you pulled away from distractions? If it's not, you may need to rethink owning an online business.
Your motivation has got to be the one thing to keep you on track and you should remind yourself constantly of why you are working so hard to succeed. Write it down on paper and put it somewhere you can see it and be reminded of it everyday.
It's best to make sure that you write down all of your goals no matter how obscure or crazy you think they are. Doing so will set in you a sense of responsibility and accountability to make a vaunted effort to reach those goals. Seeing them every day will make them soak into your subconscious and will make you work even harder to reach them.
After you have this ultimate reasoning out and on paper, then and only then can you move on to the next step which would be setting short term goals to achieve your ultimate goal.
This isn't always clear to us right away. You should do some research to see exactly what it will take for you to get to that point.
For example, you see that a certain competitor for your main keywords has 1,000 more back links than you and your research shows that he/she averages 1 back link a day. So if you want to take over as that number one spot in 90 days, you'll have to average 12 back links a day to do so.
Now you know what you have to do on a daily basis and that end result becomes that much more clear.
