These visitors are pin point targeted that will convert much better than normal pay-per-click campaigns will. Here are a few tips so you too can set your website up to gain from this free traffic. The first thing you need to do is find some keywords that will convert into free traffic. This is a fairly simple process. You'll need to use a keyword tool to find some keywords that get a decent amount of traffic and then use Google as a tool to check how much competition those keywords are getting. The trick is to find words or phrases that have over 1,000 searches per month but less than 20,000 search results (using quotes). Do a little research and compile a list. Once you have a list of some good keywords with little or no competition then you can start putting those words on paper. Write some quality articles using the keywords throughout the articles. A good rule of thumb to use for keyword density is around 3%. You can do higher or lower so long as your articles make sense to the reader. Don't over flood them and spam your website with keywords. After you have written and posted your article with the keywords you'll need to work on moving that article up the search engine ranks. To do this you'll need to get some back links pointing back to the articles you are posting on your site. Write more articles and submit them to the most popular article directories At the end of those articles there is an author or bio box where you can leave a link back to your website. If possible, leave an anchor link using the same keywords you are targeting with the article you are linking to. The more you do this, the higher those articles will rank and the longer they will stick. You'll want to keep an eye on some of the keywords just so you know how many back links it will take to get those articles to the top spots. The top spot in Google gets a majority of the clicks so that's what you need to shoot for. Once you get one article to the top spot, rinse and repeat the method for all of your keywords. When you start getting more than a handful of your selected keywords to the top of Google then you will really begin to see the traffic start rolling in. The most important part of this process is the research that goes into the selection of the keywords. If you do this part right, those keywords will bring your website traffic for life.
