As fun as writing articles is, I would never do it if it didn't pay me back in return. And I'm not just talking about paying me back with a boost of confidence either. I write articles to make money, build rapport, and boost brand name recognition.

All of this is very possible if your article marketing is done correctly. It IS NOT as simple as putting something down on Wordpad and submitting it to all the article directories. In fact, they may be the worst thing you can do. Let me explain.

There are a couple of ways that you can make article marketing profitable for you and/or your home based business. You can take a very well written article and submit it to a bunch of directories and have success. Success to me is defined by the amount of traffic you get back to your website as a result of the article you wrote.

By writing a very thought provoking, informative, and interesting article, you can get a hoard of visitors back to your website because they will be interested to see what else you have to offer. The only problem with submitting one single article to many directories is that the search engines will not index alll of the directories you submit to. Thus you will never be able to build your rankings in the search engines through back links.

So the key to making money through article marketing is to submit fresh, unique, interesting articles to the many article directories.

There is an easy way to do this so you are not using all your time in the day constantly writing articles. Take the original article you wrote and tweak some things up to trick the search engines.

First, take the title and give it three to five new names.

Second, completely rewrite that articles introduction three seperate times.

Next, choose 10-15 random sentences throughout the article and reword them so they make sense and still convey the same message.

Last, and this isn't necessarily required but does help, change the resource box a few different times.

What you end up with is five seperate and very unique articles. To the normal person they are the same article reworded, but to the search engines they see it as you putting extra effort into submitting more quality goods to the people who are searching for those goods.

In conclusion, to get the most out of your article marketing efforts and to optimize your money making, it would be wise to use this leveraging method to distribute your articles each and every time you submit. The search engines love fresh content and you will be rewarded handsomely for your efforts.
