Running and owning your own online business is not a job that is fit for everyone. Many people just cannot part with the guaranteed weekly, bi-weekly, or salary pay check. On the other hand, with the economy in shambles, no job should feel to secure.

Day jobs offer all the benefits like health care and 401K that many families would choose not to live without. The day job offers them a sense of security knowing that not only will the pay be constant but that their family is covered as well.

One of the bad sides of working a normal day job though is that you are only a very small asset to a much broader perspective working under the guidance and supervision of someone who is your superior. Not being in control of your own future or destiny is hard for some people. Even being told what to do, how to do it, and when it needs to be done is also a big negative for many.

Those people who just aren't cut out for a normal 9 - 5 job may want to look into starting an internet business. An internet business offers a great challenge for individuals looking to make enough income so they don't have to work at a day job.

The people who are best suited for this challenge are individuals who are highly motivated, dedicated to success, self disciplined, and those that are great self managers.

It may not be wise to quit your day job before you start to see any internet income though. Making real money online will take awhile to accomplish and you just have to be patient with the results. Once you start seeing results for your work, you can ride that momentum and increase your income at that point.

A successful internet business can provide you a life without a boss and without deadlines. It can also give you the freedom to work when ever and wherever you want. There is also no ceiling as to how much you can earn with an online business.

One of the best advantages of using the internet to make money is residual income. Promoting or running your own membership sites can bring in recurring income to you every month even when you are not working at your business. If you promote more than one membership site, you can have residual income coming in from several other sources as well.

The opportunity to earn money online and run your own internet business is a great one. If you think you have what it takes to make it succeed, then I highly suggest giving it a shot. It's very rewarding and exciting to see success from your own hard work once that income starts rolling in.
