In this article we want to talk about legitimate online businesses and autoresponders. Many internet marketers make the mistake of not using their autoresponder properly to help establish an online presence and legitimize their business. By correctly using an autoresponder you can help take care of this problem.
1. Initially you want to develop opt-in subscribers in numerous ways. You do this by placing a sign up form on landing pages, splash pages, ebooks, blog articles, and on every web page you have.
The sign-up form should be capturing the contact information of your prospect. The fact that you are asking a person to give you this information and offering something of value to them is the first step in legitimizing your online business.
2. Autoresponders allow you to send out a series of prewritten messages. You literally can set those up for several months or even years in advance. As people begin to hear from you on a regular basis they know you are a real person.
The messages should be soft sell in nature and used to establish relationships. You become more legitimate in their mind when they get used to hearing from you and you are not always selling to them.
3. In reality what you are doing is branding yourself as a credible internet marketer. When you mention that you have an opportunity that they should look at they know you're talking about a legitimate online business.
They do that because they trust you and want to look at what you have to offer if the time is right for them.
4. You should mail out to your list periodically in other ways besides your prewritten email messages. This is a good idea to offer a timely tip about something that's in the news or that relates to the theme of your business.
5. You never want to make the mistake of building a large list and letting it sit around idle. People will forget who you are which can hurt your business.
However, if you're constantly working hard to keep in touch with people this helps you become more legitimate in their eyes. This is what's so great about an autoresponder because it's very easy to operate.
You can type in a short message and send it out to thousands of people clicking one button. That really takes away the excuse of not keeping in touch with your list.
Legitimate online businesses today use autoresponders and so should you. The advantages are just too great to ignore.
