I think one of the most interesting things I found on the pathway called My Life, is that the laws of the universe are in operation whether I know about them or not.

I also discovered that it really helps a lot to know about them. It eliminates a lot of head scratching, kvetching, and bellyaching about things you think you have no control over when you do; oh, boy, do you.

I decided to talk about the Law of Cause and Effect for all my large-sized readers to show you how you've used the law - this would be one of those 'know about it or not' occasions - to create the size of your body.

Do you have any clue how to define what Cause really is? Many think they know. What do you think it is? I once thought it had something to do with that white-bearded fellow on the throne I'd heard so much about. Many of those of you who know me know I pursued this idea into the convent and you know, once you arrive at the green lawn on the other side of the fence, you discover you still have to feed, weed and fertilize it. I learned that fellow wasn't Cause much to my dismay.

Some people have zero interest in knowing "What is Cause?" I think finding that answer resolves many of life's little conundrums, like "Why am I fat?" In discovering what Cause was, I also discovered what effect was, and in that discovery, I learned why I am fat. Do I have your attention now?

I won't make you beg and plead. I will tell you that it's taken me 30+ years of solid searching for this answer and when I share it with you, please don't take it lightly and dismiss it with a disdainful wave of your hand. I'm sharing one of life's greatest truths with you here.

Cause is your mind thinking. Cause takes the primal element of the universe - and it's a mental element - and by thinking, forms the element into precisely what your mind is thinking about.

That last paragraph is the prize, folks; it's the brass ring. You'd be well served to read it again and embrace it into your hearts.

When you think about something, you stir up the mental element soup. The subject of your thinking turns into the objects in your life. Plain. Simple. Useable.

If you've previously believed yourself to be fat or obese, and this began in childhood long before your body reflected those thoughts as mine did, you can change the way you think and reflect out a new body. Only you are in charge of this. It's not instantaneous, and it is possible.

Because Cause is a mental element, dieting and exercise will never work. They work temporarily because you are thinking "lose weight." Once you quit thinking it, you coast in neutral for a while, and then you begin to think "I'm gaining weight again." Badda bing. You begin to gain weight. Why? Because of the Law of Cause and Effect.

It took me some years to learn this crucial lesson and then it took me a few more to get in control of my thinking. I have better results with it in some areas than in others, and I am completely aware that it's my thinking behind it all that is working the law.

The laws of the universe, in particular the Law of Cause and Effect, takes some reasoning about and some practice to get absorbed into your way of life and for that, I wish you happy sailing. Who knows? You might be able to create a new body size for yourself!
