To listen to all the uproar, you'd think The Pill, you know the little blue one, was the be all, end all solution to ED.

Heaven only knows they are telling you often enough to "ask your doctor if it is right for you."

Not so fast.

Let's look at the rest of the story.

Taking a pill assumes you have a medical problem.

Yet most of the problems men experience with erections are either caused by poor lifestyle habits, or problems with their relationships.

Neither of which will be helped by taking a pill. And the research data confirms this. Less than half of the prescriptions for ED pills are refilled.

More importantly, there are side effects for these pills, some really nasty ones that you don't want to experience, ones that can have permanent side effects.

Start taking better care of yourself.
No matter if you are 94 or 49, improving your health habits is the single most effect change you can make to improve your love life. Even small changes, if consistently practiced, quickly start to make a big difference.

This means adding some exercise to you daily routine...walking is good. A little stretching helps. Even something as simple as carrying your own groceries to the car rather than letting the kids at the check out counter carry them all can make you stronger. Simple aerobic, stretching, weight lifting routines can quickly bring the bounce back.

If you add cutting back on cigarettes and alcohol, you'll get another boost in your eforts to be healthier and more able to enjoy your senior sex.

Then cut back on the amount of junk food and fast food you eat on a regular basis to melt a few pounds off and you'll be surprised at how much better you feel, how your agility improves, and most of all, your attitude.

The biggest benefit of increased activity may not be physical but emotional. Increasing your activity, even a little bit, is the best antidote to "the blues," boredom, and stress you can find.

And, it helps you get a better night's sleep, preventing the "wake up to go and can't get back to sleep" pattern that so many seniors experience.

Besides, exercise and healthier living habits are not just inexpensive, but light and easy to carry.
