Using an autoresponder to make money would seem like something every Internet marketer would use. Unfortunately, most do not see the power of autoresponder marketing, and therefore do not use them properly to build their business and make more money. In this article we will look closer at how to use autoresponder marketing to make more money.

Autoresponders are excellent for follow-up. You get to customize them and set them up with preset messages to your liking. It all starts by getting a sign-up form on a webpage, a blog, or just creating a landing page specifically for it.

Most people have become conditioned to see sign-up forms and don't really give it a second thought if it is something they are interested in having. The problem with not using them properly is the amount of wasted website traffic that comes and goes without you ever having a way to get back in touch with them.

That is the beauty of capturing contact information for future follow-up by using the sign-up form. It is then directed to your autoresponder. Even a small number like five or 10 sign-ups a day can really add up over a period of several years. Imagine your business five years from now, with 5000 names in an follow up auto responder that you can contact at any time to sell products to.

The smart way to use your autoresponder is to drip information without it seeming like all you are doing is selling to your list. This is known as the relationship building, and as your list is developed it is easier to make sales when people know who you are.

Building your list can be done several ways, but one thing you can do when you send out an e-mail is invite people to pass it on to their friends. Include your actual autoresponder e-mail address where people can quickly join your mailing list by sending a blank e-mail. This is a way to build your mailing list without even having a sign-up form do it for you.

One thing, you may want to consider is publishing in an e-mail newsletter, otherwise known as an ezine. This is a great way to do autoresponder marketing by mixing in useful content with classified ads and sales promotions for products you sell. An e-zine is easy to publish can really be as simple as putting an article in it with a few ads sprinkled around.
