Home business is becoming more and more popular in recent years. Internet access, fax machines and other conveniences have made it possible and the cost of gasoline has made it more economical. Why spend hours driving through traffic or traveling the subway/bus line when you can make money from home?

If you are not familiar with working from home, your first thought may be about owning an online store. That is one good way to make money from home, but there are many other options available as well. Companies outsource customer service, writing, data entry and even some accounting work and they need people to fill these jobs. Home parties are a great business if you are an extrovert and love to socialize in your work life. Cosmetics, jewelry, kitchenware, interior décor and lingerie are popular products in home business. There are even "gold parties" where people bring their gold jewelry and you buy it, have it melted down and then sell it for a profit.

Crafty? You can sell your crafts online and/or at craft shows.
