When does free psychic advice cost you money? When you don't get all the facts upfront. Most free online readings or psychic readings by phone are used as a promotional tool. They want you to call to get a feel for the psychic and stay on the line to get paid advice.

This is no different than a store offering free gifts or sale prices. As soon as we see or hear the term, free psychic advice, you automatically think scam. As long as you know what the cost is going to be before you start, you shouldn't get scammed. If you're getting a free psychic reading by phone, you can hang up whenever you want to.

Many times people go to psychics when they are in crisis. They are looking for someone to help them make a decision or give them confirmation that the decision they made was right. If you are a believer, a psychic may be able to give you the direction you need. But it doesn't mean that you have to give them all your hard earned money. Sometimes the free minutes may be subtracted from your total minutes with the psychic. You can find all of this upfront before you agree. Just don't be so frantic for answers that you aren't paying attention.

Any kind of reading should ideally be used as entertainment. You can get some insight on things going on in your life by talking to a psychic, but you should still rely on your common sense and your intelligence to work things out.
