I'd been told, and I researched all I needed to know about Google Adsense. So I thought that was it... I was armed with the ammunition to tackle the world and earn some decent money from the internet. Sadly I had allowed my mind to assume I knew everything, and that was my downfall.

First and foremost in any internet situation don't assume you know everything. It is at this moment when you think you know, you switch off from knowing any more. A famous philosopher once said:

QUOTE: "He who claims he knows, knows nothing. He who claims nothing, knows." Socrates

If we apply this consideration to the internet today, a 1,000 people are shouting claiming they know; and just a handful are sitting back and smiling gleefully.

So what has this to do with 'Adsense Secrets'?

If you are a novice on this subject then to speed your knowledge forward an 'ebook', or extensive research is the only way forward. If you are an intermediate, then you'll be always on the search for new ideas and re-enforcement of the concepts you already know and use. Perhaps even as an intermediate you may want to know about an old concept seen through 'new' eyes and the differences it can make. If you are a specialist, you may know a lot, but your ears and eyes are always on the alert for new methods using an old fact.

If you know 30 good adsense tips, every time you can apply this tip in another way it becomes a trick. When you apply them a third time it becomes a secret.

Whilst everyone is searching for new tips they forget about multiplying the old tips. Allow me to explain with an example...

Let's study a website front page. You may put on 20 to 80 or so links to your other webpages. 80% who visit your front page and cannot find immediately what they are looking for will leave that page; 20% maybe more prudent and start to search because they feel they are near what they want.

If you have 80 links but 450 pages then you are not supplying everything for the intrigued visitor. If you have the same links for the impatient, they'll click a few links then disappear off your site.

Here is what you need to do, firstly to your front page. Establish the top five paying keywords in your niche (not your favourites). Display your sitemap as one link, as the opportunity for the prudent to search your site, and display the links for the five top paying keywords or phrases. Don't display your home page as 'home'; put for example 'Adsense Home' - so the keyword is still in the link. Include of course your privacy policy and terms of service. So in total you'll only have about ten links.

On your deeper pages only have 2 links - Adsense Home, Sitemap.

The purpose of this technique should be clear... If not here is the 'duh' moment. The fewer links you have on your site the more likely they will choose your adsense links to click.

This should improve your click through rate immensely, up to possibly 10% and beyond.

Hope this helps.
