Most people have some ideas about making money through affiliate programs such as ClickBank. The way it works is that, first you need to sign up with an affiliate program and get an affiliate URL. Then you need to find products that the affiliate program endorses, which you would like to promote as an affiliate marketer. Now your goal will be to direct traffic to the main websites of these products. You will earn commissions only if the visitors make any purchases. Therefore, you have to send quality visitors who should be interested in buying these specific products.

One way of doing this is to have a website of your own. You can write interesting articles about the products that you are promoting and then provide the affiliate link at the bottom or insert it somewhere in the article itself. Now, to create and maintain a website, you need to have it hosted on a server. This will recur a monthly expense for you, as need to pay your website host. You can use blogs or Google PageMaker. However, these are not as flexible as your own site. I will discuss how to promote your affiliate products without using a website at all that.

Article marketing is the best way to lead people to the merchant's site whose products you are promoting. This is absolutely free of cost and once it is up, does not need any maintenance. You should submit articles that are highly informative, as people are looking for free information on the Internet all the time. Also, the title of your article should be catchy. It goes without saying that the articles should be highly relevant to the product you are promoting. For example, if you are promoting automatic Forex trading software, you can write an article with the title 'How to make money using Automatic Forex trading software'. Joining online forums

Participating in online forums and discussion groups are excellent methods of promoting your affiliate products. You need to simply join the forums that are relevant to your products. Participate actively by posing questions and giving answers. Visit the forum regularly and provide very informative, concise answers. Most forums will let you have your affiliate link appear in your signature section. The people who read your answers are likely to click on these links and make a purchase from the merchant websites.

Google AdWords

You can create a low-budget Google AdWords campaign and lead people who click on these ads directly to the merchant website. This is a very effective method as a well-structured AdWords campaign is almost guaranteed to attract only the relevant visitors. The money that you have to spend will be nominal compared to what you are going to earn as commissions.
