I have seen a lot of very successful people in my time on earth. Some have been very successful in business, some have been very successful in giving, but it is not often that you meet someone who has accomplished so much both in terms of giving and in his business ventures. Chris Hutcherson is one of those rare people.

Chris set a goal early in his life to help children. He has always loved children. He decided that he wanted to raise $1 billion dollars to help children. Chris has already reached $200 million of that goal.

How has Chris done it? This goal of helping children is the driving force behind Chris Hutcherson—in work, business, and play. This drive is perhaps best described in a letter from Monsignor Tom Keys. The Founder and former Chairman, President & CEO of The National Scrip Center, Inc.

Chris has a way about him, a charisma and a passion for children, that appeals to school volunteers, administrators, and merchants. It creates a loyalty like nothing I have ever seen. I started the National Scrip Center to save one of our Diocese schools; but I wanted to grow the Scrip Center to all help children and schools. Without Chris Hutcherson, none of the huge growth would ever have happened....As a priest, a Vicar, and a CEO of a nonprofit, I have come into contact with literally hundreds of sales and marketing professionals in my career. Chris has the best sales skills I have ever seen. As a man and as a professional in his field, his purity of devotion to children's interests and his integrity are unmatched.

Wow. How many of us can say we have ever gotten a recommendation like that? How many of us can say we have given that much of ourselves to our jobs? And the results? Again quoting from Monsignor Keys' letter.

When Chris took over sales and marketing, we were working with a few hundred schools and had done about $24,000,000 in sales, mostly in Northern California. He immediately built a Sales Team and took the program to the Los Angeles basin, followed other markets. Within 4 years, the results were staggering resulting in literally thousands of nonprofits enrolling and hundreds of millions of dollars in sales.

Chris' accomplishments have also been recognized in Who's Who in the World 10 times and Who's Who in America 11 times. And who has benefited the most from this relentless pursuit of excellence? Kids all over the world. Next time you want to know about giving 200 percent, look no further than Chris Hutcherson.
