There are many differences between a network marketing or multilevel marketing business and a standard bricks and mortar business. Perhaps the most obvious difference is the fact that a network marketing business is virtual. You can be anywhere in the world running your networking marketing business. Because network marketing companies are not weighed down with the need to open an office to run their business, they are able to navigate to almost anywhere in the world and are able to do business almost anywhere in the world. This flexibility and ability to move rather quickly makes them ideal players in today's global market. This also means that their distributors can work with virtually anyone in the world and build a worldwide business right from their home office.

There are some things to consider. First, you have to make sure that your company is indeed legal in any country where you are thinking of doing business. Other countries may have very specific rules about doing business with people in their country. Depending on the kinds of products you are offering, there may be limitations on how many you can sell. Your company may also have specific requirements you have to fulfill to do business in other countries. Be sure to check with your company before you start doing business in another country.

A second consideration is culture. Your success in another country may depend on how people in that country feel about network marketing. Generally speaking, however, most countries like the concept of network marketing (probably more than people in the United States). This is particularly true in countries like India where the entrepreneurial spirit is highly encouraged. Just remember that the marketing techniques you use here may have to be modified to work in other countries, or you may have to take an entirely different approach.

Pricing in other countries may be different. If your parent company is shipping product from the United States to another country, the prices may be higher. Some companies have satellite shipping facilities in other countries to decrease the cost and the time, but this is not always the case. Be sure you know how the shipping works and the correct pricing so you don't misrepresent the cost or the time it takes to get the products.

Taking your network marketing business global is easier now than ever. There are approximately 6.7 billion people in the world and over 1.7 billion of them using the internet. Intern usage has grown over 300 percent since 2000*. With thousands of people gaining access to the internet every, people that expand their business with a global perspective can capitalize on a customer base than 10 years ago, was not even available.

They say a year in the Internet business is like a dog year.. equivalent to seven years in a regular person's life. In other words, it's evolving fast and faster. Vinton Cerf, Computer Scientist and Chief Internet Evangelist for Google
