In today's economy who couldn't use a little extra income? We all know someone who has been affected in the job market that has either lost a job or is making less money. There does not seem to be a job recovery on the way soon either. So what are the alternatives to raise more cash to make the ends meet?

Many of us really would enjoy working from home part time. The real question here is finding a niche or a product that has a demand or need. When you find the right idea or product, what is the start up costs and or product costs? If money is tight, especially in a down economy, the best ideas might still result in a negative venture. The solution for these problems are multi level marketing (mlm).

There are many companies out there with good products but not all opportunities are the same. Some companies like Amway, Mary Kay or Herbalife are household names and have been around a long time. Getting involved with a very well established company can be a negative because the opportunity has gotten saturated. Some start up companies that present ?ground floor opportunities? have great ideas and products but not enough capital behind them and they subsequently fail.

So the real key in finding a top MLM company is a balance between a start-up and an over saturated well-known company. The next step in finding a good business opportunity is finding a ?home run? product. Key things to look for here include; it?s product features and exclusivity. Could a potential customer buy the product or one like it from another company? What is the product?s competition? If a product has these features and it?s renewable each month then you may be on to something. Would your friends or family buy the product?

The next component to finding a top multi level marketing company is the integrity of the company?s founders and people within the organization. There has been some companies that have failed that have had great market timing and great products but lacked integrity. These companies tend to implode within as distributors become dissatisfied and leave.

Does the MLM opportunity have a good marketing presence? You might be able to sell the opportunity to just about anybody but the average guy can?t. The best MLM companies are duplicatable.

When you find the MLM company with all of the attributes spoken above, treat the opportunity as a business. The people who fail in MLM try a few things with only limited success and then quit. Work a plan and get it the proper time during the week and for weeks to come. When you put in your best effort with a top MLM company you will be rewarded for years to come. In today?s economy, that is great security!
