It does not matter if you are married for five months or fifty years, there may be some signs that your marriage needs help. If you see these problems appearing in your marriage, then you should know that your mate and you can benefit positively from marriage help.

Are you finding your dinner conversations are being filled with downward stares at the food on your plate and silence? If this happens at home, then you may have to look at your marriage and see if the communication between both of you can be improved.

At the other extreme, your home might be full of arguments and yelling that is frequently done. If voices are raised, then this is a sign that the person is feeling that you are not hearing them. This is a sure sign that there are communication problems in your marriage. If communication is not effectively done, there may be a lot of problems in the marriage. There may be an immediate need for marriage help.

Picture this scenario. Your children are fighting in the backseat of your vehicle. One partner jumps in to help the situation before it gets out of hand. The other mate stays silent throughout the conflict.

This situation can indicate that there is trouble. If one parent is vocal and the other remains silent then there may be a conflict of parenting styles and opinions. If there is a drastic difference in the parenting styles, then couples should discuss the reasoning of the difference in the two styles. If there is a larger difference of opinion then marriage help may be needed. Two parents may not bring up their children in the exact way but the parents must be working together to achieve a common goal.

Are you getting the feeling that your partner and you have similar goals for the above? If there is the feeling that both of you are going in opposite directions, then this can be a sign of trouble. If you tackle the problems when they are small, then you can avoid marriage help.

Do you usually check your husband or wife's personal items because you think they are having an affair? If you believe there is an affair going on, then this can be a red flag warning signal. Trust is very important and if you don't have this you may need to get marriage help. Extramarital affairs are very big problems. Even if your mate is not guilty, then there must be some underlying reason why you suspected in the first place. You can talk to a religious leader, therapist or other qualified professionals as quickly as possible to seek help for your marriage.

Are you comfortable with the level of intimacy in your marriage? Intimacy and sex are different, but are closely related. If you feel that your mate and you share dreams, feelings and personal thoughts, then your relationship is where it is supposed to be at. When your deep conversations are only about work, then there may be a big problem.

If there is bedroom trouble, marriage help may be needed. If you have to relate to your partner the sexual aspects of the marriage then this can be uncomfortable, but this could really help your marriage. If you cannot solve the sexual issues, then you can get help from a sex therapist or counselor.

There are a lot of ups and downs in a marriage. You need to be on the lookout for these problems. If there are similarities between marriage and these situations, you should consider marriage help. This can be an important step forward in your marriage.
