Advantage Conferences was founded in June of 2003 by Tim Darnell. Based on Christian principles, the company offers positive, inspirational, motivational, and instructional personal development material with the goal of improving customer's lives. Advantage Conferences products are available through independent Advantage Conferences representatives. Representatives promote products that include The Brilliant Business Collection, The Messenger, Your Virtual Vault, and The Quarterly Teaching Series.
Conferences are held on a regular basis all over the world for representatives to invite their prospective Clients to. "The Millionaire Mindset Income Producing System" is explained as a dynamic automated method that guarantees a sizable income. Advantage Conferences has an array of business systems designed to make participants "ethical" money in a uniquely legal way. Distributors join to develop positive personal growth and improve their lives while marketing these materials to others through the 2-Up marketing program. After their initial two sales are given back to the person that introduced them to the program, they will hopefully make money by introducing this program to a third and fourth person, and so on.
Let's see what it really costs to join Advantage Conferences. Each product has a $7000+ price tag. Once a person joins, they are now qualified to bring in clients. Before a new representative makes any money, they must give their first two qualifying sales to their qualified sponsor, costing another $14,000 (2x$7000). That is how a 2-Up works. Now they didn't have to pay that other $14,000, but it is money that they would have made because they brought in those first two sales. So, in essence, the new Advantage Conference representative has given up $21,000 before even being able to earn any money with Advantage Conferences. This, however, is not so bad... they will just need to find more clients. Oh, there is one other problem though. Those first two sales that they brought in will now break away from them, even though they are their Advantage sponsor. Both of the new affiliate representatives now become the new direct competition. Unfortunately, this doesn't motivate the qualified Advantage Conferences representative to help the new associate since they will become their competition.
The Advantage Conferences compensation plan definitely does not create team synergy. The conferences and seminars are pricey and the motivation for a new representative to help those they bring in is simply not there. Many people struggle with a 2-Up program while waiting to make that third & fourth sale just to break even. If you are a seasoned Internet marketer and you don't mind spending over $7000 and passing up your first 2 qualifying sales, then the Advantage Conferences business might be an okay fit for you.
