One of the big straggles any internet home business owner has is getting traffic to their website from the search engines. Every website owner wants the search engines to find their website as soon as possible. The sooner the search engine will index the website the faster you will see traffic coming in and with it the costumers and the money.
There are many different ways to get the search engines to notice you and your new home business, some work better than the others, and while some work for you it does not mean it will work for others too.
1- Submit your website to the search engine. This is a not a much recommended step, but you can use it with a brand new website. It take time for the search engines to index your website, sometime it can take up to 3 months, in this time you can use this method, but not over do it. Once a month is more than enough, and no matter what you do, do not pay for a submission service.
2- The best way to make the search engines notice your new website is using search engine optimization, known also as SEO. It means you need to do some things with and to your website and help the search engines find it.
SEO is all about keywords. Doing a research for your main keywords and then using them on your website, in your title and in your text. Like any other tool, too much is not better, the search engines will notice you, but they won't like what they see, and they may index your website with the rest of the spam sites.
To avoid this worst case scenario, you will have to maximize your SEO efforts and squeeze the most out of them without making it look bad in the eyes of the search engines.
You also have to remember that not only the search engines need to like you, but your visitors need to like you too. You website must be friendly to both search engines and humans. Once the engines will index your website, your visitors are the ones to read it, and they need to understand you and your business.
3- Other internet marketing methods will help you too. Blogging on a regular basis, article marketing with optimizing your keywords, and posting in forums, all this methods will help you build your backlinks, and the more quality backlinks you have, the search engines will like you more, you will rank higher and index faster.
This is not mission impossible, and internet home business owners all around the world already proved that it can be done, and you can do it to. It is all about learning and implementing. Take what you learned and use it on your own website make more search engine friendly and also people friendly. It will help not only help the engines to index you website quicker, but your visitors will come back again too.
