When you are using affiliate marketing as part of your internet home business and this is your way to make money online, creating multiple streams of income for your home business can be the best way for you to grow your business and grow you monthly income too.
If your main income from your business is relaying on affiliate marketing and selling other people products, then you already know that it is not wise to put all your eggs in one basket and there are some very good reasons for not doing it:
1- Some affiliate programs are strong and build their reputation for years, but some are not that strong and may go down from their strength in the future. If this worth case scenario happen, and it did happen for some companies in the past, you may lose your only source of income.
However having more than one affiliate program to relay on, adding more streams of income to your home business, then you will have nothing to worry about, and you can still have the rest of the programs to help you earn money and work online, while you search for a new program to replace the one that failed.
2- If you are promoting someone else product, using an affiliate store or other internet marketing method, with a market place to choose products from, you probably enjoy the commission you earn from selling the products, but what if the owner decide to remove the product from the market? You will end up with a broken link and no commission, and nothing to sell.
Choose more than one product in the same category, to fit your main theme and let you costumers decide what to buy, and in case of one product being pulled out you will be able to replace it while you still have the rest of your products.
If you think you cannot handle more than one product, start slow and ad more products as you learn and grow.
3- A verity of choices gives your prospects the freedom to choose what is the best for them. However, don't give them too many options or you may confuse them.
Keep your focus on one theme and categorize the products you choose. This way your future costumers will be able to find what they are looking for, you will have a variety of products to offer them and they won't leave your website confused.

The secret is to tale it slow. Many internet marketers fail because they are overwhelmed from all the information they see. Start with one product and ad products slowly as you learn.
You can add different streams of income by joining different affiliate programs, or joining on business opportunity with different streams of income already in it. You can sell other people products and you can also make money online from Google Ads, pay per click, pay per lead programs, online surveys, data entry and more.
